Favorite Friends

One of the greatest things I've treasured from the Military life is living in amazing countries all over the world.  I also love the tight-knit community, the amount of good people you meet, all you learn from and love.  One of my least favorites is saying goodbye.  This party was one of those....the kind that makes you feel on top of the world for having such amazing friends and leaves your heart broken when they move away.

Sweet Music to My Ears

I love days like today.  Days are getting warmer, the sun is waking up earlier and earlier and it just might be a light-jacket kind of day.  The best part of it all was when (on her own accord) my little six-year-old pulled her violin out to practice.  I'm not sure if it's the excitement of putting that star on the board when you pass off a song, our 10 new violin students joining the (amazing) family of the Violin or if she sees just how happy it makes me feel.  I'll take it all!  Keep it up, S.!

I had a great time this morning photographing the T. family.  They brought a ray of sunshine with them!  Welcome to England, baby Fiona!  Here are some of my favorite shots! 

First Snowfall

It started snowing last night and this morning the earth was just covered with white powder.  This is the first snowfall of memory for our kids as we saw nothing of the sort the 2 years we were in Florida and our first year here in England.  Their excitment was through the roof!

 

With p.j.'s under as  many layers as we could wear, we spent the early morning attempting to make snow angels, snow balls and a snow man.
