S' Homecoming

I think S. has got to be one of the luckiest girls, her friend group is amazing (even though all of them couldn't come tonight). What better than having girl friends for life!

Country Roads back to Tennessee

We visited Fall Creek Falls, it comes in handy marrying a Tennessee boy who grew up around these parts, he knew all the perfect places to visit.

Special time with the cousins always makes it that much more fun.

We stayed on a farm and every morning we were greeted by a beautiful sunrise and a lot of mooing from the cows, I enjoyed the little calfs the most.

If your oldest can drive an old stick shift jeep that reminds you of the hummer you used to drive in the Army, she can drive anything!

And the sunsets were just as spectacular as the sunrises.

Perseverance: This boy's got it. He fished for hours and waited and finally it paid off, he caught a fish!

Coming Back to the Rocky Mountains

I was born in Colorado, my mom would always call me her 'Rocky Mountain baby'. We haven't had the chance to live this close to Colorado in a long while, so it feels like a treat that we can jump in the car and make the journey in just one day.

The Rocky Mountain air was crisp and a respite from the humid summer St. Louis brings.

I was happy to take I.'s photos again today.  She's such a happy & beautiful soul.  After a mild winter and long Spring, I think St. Louis is showing off, sad to see this young lady go off to college out West.

A Lovely Fall Day with I.

We've had an amazingly warm 'Indian Summer' this Fall and what better thing do do than enjoy it before all the leaves fall and winter hits!  I. is a kind, thoughtful and beautiful young lady, I was happy to take her Senior Photos last weekend.  Good luck with our senior year, I!

7-years Is Too Long to visit Home!

We have been traveling the world for some time, before being stationed in the UK for 5 years we lived in Florida.  Its been seven long years since we've been able to come home to Washington.  7 years is way too long.  It was sweet, ever so sweet.

We took a ferry over to Victoria, Canada.

We hiked a trail that gave us spectacular views of Mt. Rainier.

Seeing edelweiss on the mountain side was beautiful.

The party of 8 that hiked the moderately difficult trail.  I was proud of the kids for not giving up, it was up hill for nearly an hour.

One of our favorite things to do in Seattle, walk around Pike's Market.

We took over a ferry to visit Nana and Papa.

Hopefully it won't take us another 7 years to return home.
